The latest upgrade to the 'Dial-Up Networking' package in WIN95 is out and
available for download off the web. Should you upgrade to it??? Tough
question to answer. If your existing 'DUN' is working well, don't waste your
time fixing something that isn't broke. If you are having connection problems,
you may want to give it a try. Although, you should be warned that there have
been reports of hangup problems on some computers when upgrading to this
version of DUN.
If you use Dial-Up networking, grab the Dial-Up Networking
Upgrade 1.2 from Microsoft's Web site by clicking
HERE.
This upgrade includes ". . . client support for a single PPTP
connection, . . . various bug fixes to Dial-Up Networking
components and to the TCP/IP stack . . . [and] all networking
features and fixes included in the OSR2 (OEM) release of
Windows95 and the ISDN 1.1 Accelerator Pack." For more
