ART
Comic & Other
I have been interested in visual art for most of my life, and I have read and collected comics as far back as I can remember.  Although my collection is small now, I have had, at one time or another, the first 23 issues of MAD, many other EC comics and a lot of early issues of Marvel and DC titles.  During the 60's I discovered the "Underground's".  I also learned about Dali, Picasso, and the "Masters".
I hope the following links and comments are of interest and maybe even present some new information.
Oh! By the way, the background is taken from an R. Crumb comic strip.

I like R. Crumb.  So much so that I am leading off with him.  The crow will take you to "THE CRUMB MUSEUM".  If you want to see some fine examples of his art, this is the place......and this link will take you too the "Fritz the Cat" site.  Well worth the visit.

I believe that Frank Frazetta is one of the most influential artist  in the world of comic and fantasy publications.  His signiture will link you to one site that has some nice reproductions of his art and a good article on his life.  In fact the site has a lot of information on comics.  Below are links to other sites with Frazetta art.  Click on the thumbnail pictures.

Clicking on this picture will take you to the web site of the INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF CARTOON ART.  There you will be treated to information and samples of such greats as Walt Kelly, Neal Adams, Carl Barks, Jack Kirby, Harvey Kurtzman, Stan Lee, Jack Davis, Will Eisner and Al Capp.
