The Baha'i Faith       The symbol above is commonly called "The Ring Stone" symbol.  It is a calligraphic representation of the Allah-u-Abha (also known as "The Greatest Name") and can be found inscribed on Baha'i rings.  Baha'i artist have used it as basis for some very beautiful mandallas such as the two below.

I have been a Baha'i for over 20 years.  What first attracted me to it was it's basic principles.  To be honest, this was an intellectual attraction.  It was not untill much later that the spiritual/emotional side of the faith entered.  It is my opinion that some enter the faith through the intellect and others through the emotions.  Neither is better, but, I also believe that eventually both must come into play in one's life.

Among other things, I am the Baha'i Editor for a web site called Suite101Please stop by, I publish a new article on some aspect of the Baha'i Faith each week.  There is also a place for discussion and questions.

One of the basic principles of the Baha'i Faith is the Unity of Mankind.  With this in mind, Baha'is are active in many different groups and organizations that are helping to bring about an end to racism.   One of these that is active in my area is  the "Institute For The Healing Of Racism".  Click on the doves to go to the main "Institute For The Healing Of  Racism" web site.
Another link to a site that is concerned with racial issues are:
The Bahá'í Faith: Dawn of a New Day   This site not only has "The Vision of Race Unity" online, but has RealAudio presentation of the video "The Power of Race Unity".

It is my hope that you enjoy not only this page, but many of the other Baha'i pages on the web.  I hope that some of the following links will take you to places that you have not been before.

There are many excellent sites on the Web that contain more information than I could possibably put on this site, so, I'll include a few links that will direct you in that direction:

This will link you to Camphor Fountain.  The keeper of this site, Zaynab Richmond has been an online friend of mine for quited a while, although we have never met in person.  I first met her through her BBS and am glad to find her here on the web.  I believe that she has some things at her site that may be found no where else.  Please give it a visit.
